The Granary, Meknes, Morocco

Meknes is one of the three Imperial Cities in Morocco, home for various rulers over the centuries. One of the imposing buildings was the Granary, now beautifully restored. The massive interlinked vaulted rooms offer striking views of arches, through arches . . .  through arches. Outside are the crumbling ruins of a stable block which housed 20,000 horses. All that remains are dozens of rows of arches.
